Initially serving as the director of business development at Iceland Drilling Company and then later as a consultant at Green Energy Geothermal, an EPC contractor specializing in the construction of geothermal wellhead power plants, our projects have spanned across countries including Iceland, New Zealand, Azores, Germany, Denmark, Dominica, Montserrat, St. Vincent, Kenya, Djibouti, and Nicaragua
To compliment our core expertise, Enorca has established affiliations with leading engineering firms and geo-survey firms in the geothermal industry.
Our core competency lies in preparation of deep geothermal drilling projects worldwide, involving tasks such as overseeing procurement procedures, negotiating with drilling companies and overseeing the construction of wellhead power plants. We also specialize in developing business models and conducting viability studies.
FOUNDER
Mr. Vilhjalmur Gudmundsson has dedicated over 15 years to international geothermal developments, primarily with Iceland Drilling Company (IDC). Serving as the head of IDC's international project marketing and sales for eight years, until December 2012, he later rejoined the company in February 2016 for additional five years.
In the interim, Vilhjálmur served as the director in business development for Green Energy Geothermal (GEG) promoting Geothermal Wellhead Power Plants in the Caribbean and Latin America region from 2013 to 2018.
His focus on global business development for both geothermal drilling projects and small geothermal power plants around the world, being responsible not only in marketing and sales, but also in tendering/procurement and contract negotiation. This comprehensive experience provides him with a valuable perspective on the essential services required in geothermal development.
Before entering the geothermal sector, Mr. Gudmundsson held the position of director business development at the Trade Council of Iceland. During this time he accumulated extensive experience in international marketing projects, overseeing initiatives in Central and East European countries, Asian countries, Russia, and in Chile.
Educationally, Vilhjalmur holds a Cand Oecon Degree from University of Iceland and a Master's Degree in International Business from Lund's University in Sweden.
